Driving on from Windhoek
Hosea Kutako is a good starting point for a self-drive trip across Namibia. Our base in Swakopmund is roughly 360 km west of Windhoek, about four hours by road on tarred highway. The Fortuner handles tarred highways, maintained gravel and district roads, and the salt roads around the coast.

What you need to rent
- A valid ID or passport and a valid driver's licence (you can upload photos when you book).
- The renter must be at least 23 years old and have held a licence for at least 2 years.
- Only the renter, or an additional driver agreed with us in writing before collection, may drive.

Can I return the vehicle somewhere else?
You choose a pickup and a return location when you book. Handover and return take place in Swakopmund, at Hosea Kutako or at Walvis Bay International Airport. Message us on WhatsApp if you want to plan a route that ends somewhere different.
I land in the afternoon. Do I lose a rental day?
No. A rental day is a full 24 hours from the moment you take the vehicle, so collecting at 16:00 means your first day ends at 16:00 the next day.
